Henry Guy

President & Chief Investment Officer
Henry is the President & Chief Investment Officer at Pittco Management. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Henry is responsible for all aspects of Pittco’s day-to-day operations. Additionally, he sets the investment strategy, oversees the investment portfolio and leads the Investment Team.

Henry has 25 years of investing experience spanning public and private markets. He started and led venture and buyout funds and provided venture funding and served on the boards of hedge and 40 Act mutual funds.

Henry began his career as a naval officer in the United States Navy. Following his naval service and business school, he established Anima Regni Partners, a single-family office with offices in New York, Luxembourg & Sweden where he served as Managing Director for over 15 years. Most recently, he was the President & CEO of Modern Holdings Incorporated, a diversified holding company focused on investments in the United States & Sweden. Henry’s extensive board experience includes the following public company directorships: Metro International S.A. (MTRO_A), Miltope Group, Inc. (MILT), Pergo AB (PRGO), Scribona AB (CAT-S-B), Evermore Global Advisors (EVGBX) & Ascent Industries (ACNT). Henry also served on the nominating committee for Investment AB Kinnevik (KINV_A).

Henry’s not for profit board experience includes: Teach for America-Memphis, The Stenbeck Foundation, Max Stenbeck Foundation, & Max Stenbeck Charitable Fund. Henry also serves on the Board of Visitors of the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

Henry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.

Lorie A. Jernigan, CPA, CGMA

Chief Financial Officer
Lorie is the Chief Financial Officer of Pittco. She and her team are responsible for managing the financial, accounting, compliance, and tax functions for all affiliated entities. She also concentrates in special project work and serves on the Executive Committee. Lorie is also an adjunct member of the Investment Team.

Lorie joined Pittco in 1999 as Controller and later served as Vice President. She began her career in 1991 with Arthur Andersen LLP, Memphis TN. As an audit manager, she focused on private and public/SEC audit clients.

Lorie serves on the finance committee and board of directors of Getwell Community Church and volunteers with Mid- South Therapeutic Riding Center which offers equine assisted experiences to individuals of all ages with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

Lorie holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi, magna cum laude, and is a CPA and a Certified Global Management Accountant.

Jon Hottinger

Principal, Investments
Jon is a member of the Investment Team and is primarily responsible for managing Pittco’s hedged equities, absolute return, and energy and natural resources portfolios. He also sources, evaluates, and executes direct investments.

Over his 20-plus year career, Jon has served as a trusted advisor to corporate executives, private equity firms, entrepreneurs, business owners, and high net worth families on acquisitions, divestitures, business strategy, and investments. He joined Pittco following many years in investment banking at FORVIS Corporate Finance, BB&T Capital Markets, and Avitas Capital. Additionally, Jon spent five years as Director of Corporate Development for Synalloy Corporation (NASDAQ: SYNL). In these roles, Jon led and executed more than 25 business acquisitions and divestitures totaling more than $1.6 billion in value. Jon began his career with a boutique technology and business process consulting firm and, after business school, worked for a single-family office in New York City.

Jon’s past community involvement includes serving on the Board of Trustees of Churchill Academy, an accredited private school for urban youth, on the Board of Directors of The First Tee of Greater Richmond, and as a Governing Elder of Third Church – all in Richmond, Virginia.

Jon holds an MBA, with honors, from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Systems Engineering, with distinction, from the University of Virginia.

P. Graham Jones

Vice President, Investments
Graham is a member of the Investment Team and is primarily responsible for managing the domestic and global equities strategies within Pittco’s managed public equity portfolio and sourcing, evaluating, and executing Pittco’s direct investments.

Graham began his career as an Associate at King & Spalding LLP, an Atlanta-based international law firm, where his practice consisted of advising private equity firms and other financial sponsors in leveraged buyout, minority investment and recapitalization transactions in lower, middle, and upper middle markets.

While in Atlanta, Graham served as a member of the SpringBoard for Pro Bono Partnerships of Atlanta and on the Advisory Committee for Youth About Business.

Graham holds a Bachelor of Accountancy, summa cum laude, and a Master of Taxation from the University of Mississippi, where he was a Taylor Medalist. Graham also received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Melissa Fleck

Associate, Investments
Melissa is a member of the Investment Team and is primarily responsible for evaluating and monitoring the performance of Pittco’s portfolio of managed funds and direct investments. Melissa also manages the firm’s compliance and transaction execution functions.

Melissa has performed several roles during her career with Pittco, most recently serving as an Investment Performance Analyst.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Western Kentucky University.

Emily is the Executive Assistant for Henry Guy, President and Chief Investment Officer of Pittco. She is primarily responsible for supporting and facilitating day-to-day activities of Mr. Guy.

Prior to Pittco, Emily was an Executive Assistant at Chi Omega Fraternity where she provided administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and Governing Council

Corie T. Rivers, CPA

Vice President of Finance
Corie is the Vice President of Finance. She is responsible for all tax compliance and internal and external financial reporting. In addition, she serves as a key liaison to the J.R. Hyde III Family Foundation board.

Corie joined Pittco as a Controller in 2003. She began her career in public accounting with Andersen LLP and Deloitte LLP where she specialized in taxation and consulting for partnerships and high net worth individuals.

Corie holds a Bachelor of Accountancy, summa cum laude, and a Master of Taxation from Mississippi State University.

Krystal Schuchardt

Controller
Krystal is a member of the Accounting Team and has a wide range of responsibilities that range from tax return preparation and tax compliance issues to preparing and maintaining economic investment pool analysis and reporting. Krystal also maintains, manages, and analyzes financial statements, budgets, and accounting records.

Krystal began her career at a local public accounting firm where she worked as a tax accountant and a personal wealth management associate.

Krystal holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Memphis, magna cum laude.

Sarah Esola

Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager
Sarah joined Pittco in 1998 and was promoted to AP/Payroll Manager in 1999. As an integral part of the Accounting Team, she manages the processing of all deposits, payroll and cash/wire disbursements for all Pittco entities. Her decades of experience with the firm demonstrates her vast experience, dedication and commitment to Pittco.

Sarah began her accounting career with Autozone headquarters in Memphis TN where she provided support to the tax department.

Karen Roach

Accounting Associate
Karen joined Pittco in 2017 and is a key member of the Accounting Team. She is responsible for bank reconciliations, general ledger input and reports for all Pittco related entities. She also manages corporate credit cards and expense reports and provides financial analysis and support to management.

Karen began her accounting career in accounts payable at Pfizer, Inc. During her 16 years with the organization, she was promoted through the ranks to Staff Accountant.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Business from Liberty University and an Office Systems Technology degree from Motlow State Community College.

Monica L. Harrison, CISR

Executive Assistant/HR Coordinator

Monica serves as the Executive Assistant to Lorie Jernigan, Chief Financial Officer, and Corie Rivers, Vice President of Finance. In this capacity, she plays a key role in managing art and insurance databases, coordinating Pittco’s benefit and insurance programs, and providing crucial support to the accounting team in day-to-day administration.

Prior to joining Pittco, Monica worked for 28 years in the insurance industry. She holds a Property & Casualty Insurance license in the state of Tennessee.

Jennifer Hearn

Office Manager and Building Coordinator

Jennifer is the Office Manager and Building Coordinator for Pittco. She is responsible for maintaining and coordinating all building operations, services, and systems. She facilitates key tasks and procedures to ensure Pittco’s offices are operating efficiently in all facets.

She began her career working as an administrative assistant for medical clinics in NY and TN. She then worked as a Physical Therapist’s Assistant treating musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.

Jennifer holds an Associate in Applied Science and is licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Jerry Hoehn

Chief Technology Officer
Jerry is the Chief Technology Officer for Pittco.  He has worked in the field of information technology for over 20 years and is responsible for the oversight and management of multiple data and digital communications platforms for Pittco and its related entities. 

Prior to joining Pittco in 2005 Pittco, Jerry was the co-founder of a successful technology consulting firm in Memphis, TN focused on data and communications systems for multiple small to medium-sized firms in the Memphis and Mid-South area. 

During his tenure at Pittco, Jerry has implemented a variety of data and communications platforms and has led multiple cloud application system deployments.  During COVID he was instrumental in expeditiously implementing a seamless remote work environment.

Jerry is passionate about all things IT and has broad expertise in a wide range of systems ranging from design and deployment of fiber-optics communications systems, wide-area point-to-point radio communications systems, digital video surveillance systems, smart building access systems, smart building lighting systems, database design and deployment, cloud-based accounting systems, cloud-based document storage systems, and smart building automation systems. 

Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Memphis.

Awais Ahmed

Sr. Cloud Architect
Awais works as Sr. Cloud Architect for Pittco where he is responsible for the oversight and management of both on-premises and cloud-based data and communications resources.

Awais began his career as a network engineer for one of the largest Internet service providers in Pakistan, where he mastered network infrastructure switching and routing. He has over 15 years experience in the design, implementation, and support of both in-house and cloud-based management information systems.

Awais holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication Systems and Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology in Jamshoro, Pakistan. He also holds a Master of Business Administration in Information Systems from DeVry University, Decatur Georgia.
